The roots at Pamarco are deep ones. One of the pioneers of Pamarco, Douglas Tuttle, “The Father of Flexo,” invented the anilox roll inking system in 1939. His vision for the future is a prime example of why Pamarco has consistently been the best choice for printers over the past seventy years.

Tuttle, however, was only one of the many roots that have grown Pamarco into the company that it is now. In fact, over the past seventy years Pamarco has had more employees inducted into the FTA Hall of Fame than any other company in the industry. That list includes: William D. Donohue, Founder of Pamarco, Charles R. Heurich, Inventor of the Roto Flo, Douglas Tuttle, Father of Flexo and Founder of Pamarco, Joseph P. Trungale, VP Pamarco.

With the help of bright minds like these, Pamarco has remained relevant to the latest needs of printers by developing new technology. For example, Pamarco is the original developer of the ceramic anilox roller. The European operation, known as M.A Buckley, was the first in the industry to produce a random ceramic anilox roll. Other Pamarco creations include: Quad Engraving, EFlo, Gravure Roller, Dual Durometer rubber rolls, Sentinel iPro and many more.

As Pamarco has expanded its product line along the way, it has also expanded its reach. The company now supplies to printing industries worldwide. These industries include corrugated, flexible packaging, label and narrow web, wide web markets, offset, emboss and gravure.
With a background like that, Pamarco was destined to become what it is today: the world’s most renowned roll supplier. As Pamarco continues to look forward, let us be reminded that it is only because of these deep roots that such a future is possible. Cheers to the past seventy years!
