Things are changing at Pamarco Europe, following the announcement that the company is set to move all of its European manufacturing capacity into its German facility in Salzkotten.

As part of this consolidation for future growth, the company is closing its manufacturing facility in Warrington, UK at the end of April; from that date, all production will move to its wholly-owned, state-of-the-art facility in Salzkotten (pictured below). This decision is driven by the German site’s superior positioning to serve global customers more efficiently from its central European location.

Additionally, the German facility offers significant advantages for future growth, including unrestricted expansion potential and operational flexibility. Situated on a sizable plot with no limitations on scale or operating hours, the site enables the company to enhance its capabilities without impacting neighbouring communities—constraints that have unfortunately limited the growth prospects of the UK plant.

“This consolidation of operations will enable us to further enhance our capabilities with the latest technology,” explains John Burgess, President, Pamarco. “Our facility in Germany is equipped with six advanced laser systems, and we will be transferring one additional plasma spray coating unit from the UK, along with essential peripheral equipment, to ensure we continue to meet customer needs with the highest standards of quality. Thanks to existing capacity in Germany, with six lasers and associated coating, grinding & polishing equipment, we will not only absorb and consolidate the volume from Warrington into Salzkotten, but also continue to grow our capacity through this expandable site. Additionally, the German site runs on a company-wide ERP system, meaning it is totally transparent with all customer records and laser engraving data.”

He continues, “To ensure a seamless transition, essential personnel, including sales and production management, will be retained throughout the process to maintain continuity in service and manufacturing expertise. We are committed to supporting customers during this time and ensure there is no disruption to service.”

Burgess concludes, “This relocation of all manufacturing into one site will enable us to increase our manufacturing throughput and further enhance the product know-how within the team. This transition will strengthen Pamarco’s ability to meet customer demands and provide even better service moving forward.”
